(Paneer and Peas Cutlet)

Serving: 4 persons

 

Ingredients:

Paneer - 200 g

Peas/Motorshuti Filling

Egg - 1

Maida - 2 tbsp

Chilli powder - a pinch (optional)

Salt - a pinch as per taste

Oil - 1/4 cup

Water - if required to adjust batter consistency

 

 

 

Cooking procedure:

  1. Cut paneer into thin 2 inch square pieces. Make an even number of paneer slabs.

  2. Place about 1/2 tsp of the peas/motorshuti filling on one paneer slab and spread evenly with a small spoon. Cover with another paneer slab such that the filling is sandwiched between the 2 paneer slabs.

  3. Batter : Beat egg in a bowl and to it add maida, chilli powder, salt, and water. Make a thick batter.

  4. Dip the paneer cutlets in the batter and deep fry.

  5. Remove from oil and keep on paper towel.

 

Serving Suggestion:

Serve hot as a tea-time snack with your choice of sauce.
