Ingredients:

Alu/Potato - 2, peeled and halved

Bitter Gourd - 1, halved

Green Chillies - 2 (optional), slit

Salt - To taste

Oil/Ghee - as indicated

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cooking procedure:

  1. Boil potatoes and bitter- gourd till well cooked.

  2. Mash the vegetables coarsely and garnish with chopped green chillies and preferably mustard oil

Serving Suggestions:

Serve hot with steamed rice. A favourite lunch starter for many traditional Bengalis
