Serving Size: 3-4 persons

 

Ingredients:

Carrots - 300 g, cut into half circles

Fresh or Frozen peas - 1 cup

Onion - 1medium, chopped

Tomato - 1 large, chopped

Ginger - 1 inch, grated

Garlic - 4 cloves, grated

Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped

Green Chillies - 3-4, slit

Whole mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Bengal gram - 1 tsp

Dry Red chillies -2

Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

Curry powder - 1tsp

Sugar - 1/4 tsp

Salt - To taste

White Oil - 3 tbsp

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cooking procedure:

  1. Heat oil, to it add mustard seeds, bengal gram, and dry red chillies. Fry for 30 sec or until seeds start to splatter.

  2. Add onions, tomato, garlic, and ginger. Fry 3-4 min until onions become tender

  3. Add carrots and peas - fry for 5-6 min on low heat and covered till the vegetables are firmly cooked.

  4. Add curry powder, salt and sugar and stir for 2-3 min. Remove from heat.

  5. Garnish with cilantro

                                

Serving Suggestions:

This curry may be served hot with any dal.
