Ingredients:

Radish/Muli - 200 g, 1 inch long juliennes

Cilantro/Dhonepata - 1/4 cup, chopped

Green Chillies - 3-4, slit and deseeded

Coconut - 2 tbsp, shredded

Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp + 1/2 tsp

Dry Red Chillies - 2

Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

Sugar - 1/4 tsp

Salt - To Taste

White Oil - 1 tbsp

Ghee - 1/2 tsp

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cooking procedure:

  1. Parboil cut radish with salt and turmeric

  2. Drain water thoroughly and keep aside.

  3. Heat oil in a pan, to it add whole mustard seeds and  red chillies. Fry for 30 sec or until seeds start to splatter

  4. Add parboiled radish and stir for 2 min

  5. Add ground mustard seed paste. Add green chillies, salt and cover to cook on low heat

  6. When radish is cooked and gravy is dry add ghee, coconut and sugar. Mix well. Remove from heat

  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro

Serving:

This curry may be served hot with sambar and masoor dal
