Serving Size: 4 persons

Ingredients:

Chopped Spinach/Palong Shaag - 250 g

Green Peas - 1/2 cup

Whole Dry Red Chillies - 3, slit

Whole Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp

Salt - To taste

Sugar - 1/4 tsp

Ghee - 1/2 tsp

Oil - 1 tbsp

   

 

 

 

Cooking procedure:

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add dry red chillies and mustard seeds. Fry till the seed splutter.

  2. Add chopped spinach, and green peas. Turn heat to medium-low and cook covered.

Note: Fresh spinach leaves do not require additional water but if using frozen chopped spinach then add little water at a time for cooking.

  1. When spinach is almost cooked add salt and let excess water evaporate. Frozen spinach requires 12-15 minutes to be cooked.

  2. Add ghee and sugar. Remove from heat.

 

Serving Suggestions:

Serve  with hot rice.
